Chunky Ribbed Knitted Hat
After about 6 attempts to make a hat on four needles I finally have something I'm happy with.
I didn't use a pattern (mostly because I still get confused reading them) and just kind of figured it out through trial and error.
Here's generally what I did if you're interested:
I cast on 8 stitches per needle, and k2 p2 for the whole hat, until I started to decrease (I just guessed when would be a good place to start this, it was pretty close to the top of my head)
Then k2, p2tog, k2, p2tog for one row.
Next row k2 p1 k2 p1
Then k2tog, p1, k2tog, p1
Next row k1 p1 k1 p1
Then I put all the stitches on two needles, knit every other stitch together, cast off and crocheted the seams together from the inside.

i never follow patterns...as long as you know basic rib stitch, cables, stockinette, increase/decrease etc. you can figure out almost anything
